Description
I posted one of the original paintings I did of a Sadhu (www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=184689511735933&set=a...) on my FB art page the other day. I was inspired to go back and revisit the subject. When I started painting, I favored painting people whose face had a story to tell. Painting this Sadhu, brought back my inspiration with faces and that theme will start to unfold in the next series of paintings I do. It's funny how things come full circle. A self portrait study leads to more realism, posting an old painting leads to revisiting subject matter. Only now I'm approaching my paintings with a new arsenal of skills that I've developed over the past year. Each brushstroke, finger mark, knife smear, has taught me something new. That's one reason I continue to create, the constant pursuit of learning to do something better.
